On my recent trip to Mumbai I had the opportunity to have lunch at Britannia and Company, which had long been on my bucket list. And I must say it was worth the wait! We ordered their signature mutton berry pulao with raspberry soda, followed by caramel custard. The pulao was delicately flavoured and boasted of succulents spiced mutton and tangy berries to give a kick to the palate.Served with just sliced onions. So nothing takes away from the flavour. The raspberry soda was a perfect accompaniment.Followed by the oh so good caramel, beautifully caramelised and light as air. The place has an old world charm with no unnecessary frills and frippery. There was a plump indie dog on the reception counter who obviously has enjoyed the hospitality of the place.Lucky dog! Definitely a place I would love to go back to and will highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food.

This is one of the oldest and most iconic legacy restaurants in South Bombay, so naturally we walked in with high expectations. While the place does carry an old-world charm that takes you back in time, unfortunately the overall experience did not live up to what we had hoped for. The ambience reflects a bygone era, which can be nostalgic, but the food itself was quite disappointing. Most of the dishes were bland and, more importantly, served cold. We tried their Berry Pulao, which is often projected as their hero or signature dish, but it was underwhelming in both taste and presentation. Being served cold made the experience even worse. Another major concern is how outdated their payment system is. In today’s world, where even the smallest vendors accept UPI or cards, being told to pay only in cash feels extremely inconvenient and frankly unacceptable. It genuinely feels like the restaurant is still operating in 1923, without adapting to basic modern expectations. I also happened to notice the kitchen area, which looked somewhat unhygienic. For a restaurant with such a long-standing reputation, this was quite concerning. If the team at Britannia happens to read this review, I sincerely hope they take it constructively. The restaurant has a rich legacy and loyal following, but addressing basic concerns like food quality, hygiene, serving temperature, and modern payment options would go a long way in preserving that legacy for future generations.

First time visiting the legendary Parsi cafe in downtown Mumbai. Highly recommended for Chicken Farca, a juicy and tender deep fried chicken hip with crispy skin and fried potato. Butler also urged me ordered Mutton Dhansak, a buttered rice with minced mutton and mutton and lentil curry which was so scrumptious! Don't forget to have a refreshing soda drinks, I ordered Raspberry soda and Ice-cream soda but I thought I preferred to the latter one. Worth to visit!

If you want to enjoy authentic Parsi cuisine served by 3 generations of Parsi family then you should never miss this place. They have staff who majorly are more tha 2 decades serving at this place. The food and service both absolutely awesome. We left the menu on them and they the perfect course, no leftovers. If in Mumbai, never ever miss opportunity to have meals particularly non veg. Its more than 100 years old and once inside you just end up in same era. Majority of things have not been changed.
